As a total classroom solution, the Fizzbook Spin provides a netbook, e-reader and touch screen functionality, alongside Smart Classroom Suite.

This second generation of Zoostorm Fizzbook has a larger 10.1 inch screen to display complex activities and its spinning functionality makes it simple for students to share ideas and collaborate. Having been drop tested to 50cm and fitted with a water resistant keyboard in addition to surfaces resistant to reasonable damage and improved dust resistance, the new Fizzbook is proving as popular and resilient a choice as the original 8.9 inch version.

In tablet mode the Fizzbook Spin is useable away from the desk and the easy to use image capture software combined with the webcam makes it an ideal field trip companion. Clicking and scrolling can be done with your fingertips and for more detailed entry there is a built-in stylus.

The handwriting recognition works across all the applications, and gives options for joined-up or printed handwriting, or if required a virtual keyboard. All this functionality is complemented by an in built accelerometer, which rotates the screen so it is always the right way up for the person looking at it. This also means all features are available for left and right handed users.

Rather than having to buy a second device, the new Fizzbook Spin can be turned into an e-book with the addition of the appropriate software.  Using the rotating screen to turn the Fizzbook to tablet mode means pupils can then use the device to read text clearly.

Like the original, the new Fizzbook Spin has the same ergonomically designed, flexible handle, making it comfortable to carry despite being slightly heavier than the old model. The larger hard drive and the bigger screen alongside all the functions and features of Windows 7 Professional mean that we believe the new Fizzbook Spin 10.1” is a good investment.
