The  MP780 ST projector is the latest interactive projector from BenQ and  comes equipped with PointDraw Technology.

The PointDraw pen enables you to use the Q Draw interactive software not only at the board, but also from around the room meaning you are no longer tied to presenting from the front of the room. The system is compatible with any computer operating system that supports a USB mouse and it does not require any calibration between the projector and the screen. The PointDraw toolkit is compatible with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Excel and many other presentation software packages.

The MP780 ST is a  WXGA widescreen projector,  meaning the total viewing area is 30% larger than standard XGA and being short-throw, the images are sharper and clearer and with less shadow distraction. Having built-in 20W speakers that are large enough for a medium or large sized classroom and a microphone jack, means that you do not need to carry a portable PA system around.

But the real beauty of this projector is that it is 3D ready. All that is needed is 3D software, suitable pc and the glasses. Imagine, for example, being able to show the effects of aging on the skeleton by being able to rotate the image and zoom in, or learn about tornadoes or events in history. We have seen the projector and software in action and we were seriously impressed with it!

You might not be ready to go 3D yet, but if you are replacing your projector or interactive board, we would suggest you look at this option.
